About Author LaMeshia melodic

LaMeshia Tanimowo known by her pen name "LaMeshia Melodic" proclaims that her first love has always been writing. She has been writing, songs, poetry and short stories since she was a child. She says "When I write, I cannot be restricted, I set the tone, I set the pace. I can go as far as I want, I make the rules, I am addicted to the freedom that writing provides." She published her first book in 2012, titled "Psalms of a Wounded Vessel." It is a compilation of poetry, songs, and inspirational readings. Her purpose is to "Spread Love and Literacy to All!"

LaMeshia believes strongly in community, leadership, and advocacy. Her beliefs are what fuel her passion to make sure that all people have the opportunity to learn how to read and write. She is not a genre specific author, she does not like to be placed in a box, she literally writes what she is feeling at the time. "Every good leader should replicate themselves, that is why I am passionate about teaching others how to become authors! Outside of hosting my on workshops, I have partnered with local schools to present to children the freedom that writing can give them, and how they can do it as a career. Teaching and encouraging others, has been the highlight of my career!"
